Kamstar was founded at the end of 2002 as a vehicle for the importing of 'Reclaimed Flooring'. Currently, we stock a good range of reclaimed brick tiles and reclaimed terracotta tiles. We are a family business with a 10,000 sq.ft. factory in Poland on a 1.5 acre site and a 3,500 sq.ft. warehouse and showroom in Kent.
Over the past 4 years we have used our time by investing in people skills and assets that allow us to sensitively reclaim bricks and terracotta tiles.
Our brick tiles are cut from bricks that are more than 150 years old. We cut the face off the bricks we reclaim to allow them to be laid with the minimum of alteration to existing floors.
The terracotta tiles can either be original tiles that are reclaimed from houses, factories and churches or they can be reprocessed from roof tiles. As with the brick tile this allows us to produce a very strong terracotta tile that is three quarter's of an inch thick and can be laid in most environments.
We are now undergoing the next phase of our development which will allow us to supply reclaimed and resawn floorboards. We have started to stock this but supply is sporadic. However, we hope to have regular supply by the Autumn of 2006. We will also be supplying reclaimed roof tiles in the near future.
